Zen Studio Software Guide
Zen Studio is the configuration software for Cronus Zen. It provides device management, GPC script development, mouse & keyboard configuration, and input remapping plugins.
Download Zen Studio
Download the latest version — includes the firmware update tool and Zen Link configurator. Windows only. You can also update firmware via the browser-based Web Update Tool (Chrome/Edge, works on Windows, macOS, and Android).
Panels
Zen Studio has five main panels accessible via the navigation tabs at the top.

| Library | Browse and download GPC scripts from the online database |
| Compiler | Source code editor with syntax highlighting, Find & Replace, integrated compiler, and debug output |
| Programmer | Assign GamePacks, Library scripts, Remapper profiles, or local GPC files to the Zen's 8 memory slots |
| Device | Output Protocol selection, PS4 Speciality / Remote Play, Factory Reset, Erase Memory, and Device Monitor |
| M&K Settings | Sensitivity, deadzones, ballistic curves, key remapping, and profile import/export for mouse & keyboard |
Tools Menu
| Tool | Description |

| Device Monitor | Real-time input viewer — button states, stick positions, triggers, gyro, touchpad. Requires PROG USB. |
| Zen Studio Update | Check for and install the latest Zen Studio version. Requires internet. |
| Zen Operational Mode | Switch between Normal, Tournament, and Wheel modes (see below). |
Operational Modes
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Normal | Full functionality — scripts, GamePacks, M&K, and all features enabled |
| Tournament | Scripts and GamePacks disabled. Controller passthrough and basic remapping only. For competitive play. |
| Wheel Mode | Enables supported Logitech and Fanatec racing wheel functionality |
Plugins
| Plugin | Shortcut | Description |

| MAX Combo | Alt+F1 | Record controller input sequences and convert them to GPC combo code |
| MAX Mapper | Alt+F2 | Visual drag-and-drop button remapping with deadzone/sensitivity zones, exports to GPC |
| MAX Rec | Alt+F3 | Record and replay raw input sequences for testing combos and macros |
Status Bar
Located at the bottom of the interface, split into three sections:
- Left — Device connection status and firmware version
- Middle — Active operational mode (click to change)
- Right — Compiler info: script status (OK/BAD), current line/column, insert/overtype mode
Linux users
Zen Studio requires Windows. You can run it in a VirtualBox VM with USB passthrough — see the Linux setup guide.
